Monitoring
-
OtherWISE brings practical experience for facilitating the development of clear monitoring and evaluation frameworks. We are able to provide and build on various monitoring approaches used by different donors and governments. Our speciality is working with organisations that need to meet multiple donor or other stakeholder reporting needs, but do not want a complicated or overbearing monitoring approach.

Evaluation
-
OtherWISE has practical experience conducting various types of evaluation, including implementation, outcome, and impact evaluation. We work with a wide variety of evaluation approaches and can confidently develop methodologies that are contextually appropriate and result in credible and useful findings.

Research
-
OtherWISE conducts qualitative and mixed methods research on both a small and large scale. We are experienced with action research and more formal research approaches. We encourage the use of research to inform strategic planning and programme development, and also offer courses on qualitative research. We value and acknowledge relevant ethical standards and cultural sensitivities.

Capacity Building
-
We strive to understand the context and needs of our clients in order to develop tailored training on all aspects of monitoring, evaluation, and qualitative research. This includes training on theory of change, developing indicators, evaluation theory, and other topics. We work one-on-one with clients in a mentoring capacity and also train small and larger groups. Our participatory hands on approach ensures that learning is practically applied.
